Koike’s excellent box illustration serves as the
basis for this decal sheet, but the decals have some problems:
- The yellow on the fuselage, tail and drop tanks is too light / lemon.
Use Cutting Edge stencil and bands decal sheet instead.
- Cartograf tried unsuccessfully to duplicate the "hand-drawn"
look of the black checkered tail. Use Koike’s art as a guide to correct this.
- The green on the dragon’s body is too light. Will try to correct
mine by very softly (after application) rubbing with a soft black pencil.
- The decal has the dragon’s eyes in red. Koike has’em in
black. By the picture in this section you’ll see that they were… dark brown.
The decal sheet is mostly fine. Most modelers will be happy to apply
it as it is. For us nuts, a little work can make it perfect. |
