ONCE UPON A SABRE
	The aircraft that carried the USAF serial number 51-2897 was a North American F-86F-1NA Sabre, one of 78 from that production block. This block has the very first F models of the Sabre, which took over on the production line from the F-86E-10. In fact these 78 aircraft were just F-86E-10s with the uprated J47-GE-27 engine, and associated top fuselage - just in front of the tailfin fillet - flat intake.
